Satellite Frequency Update November 2, 2026: 31 Verified Changes
Verified changes recorded on Sunday, November 1, 2026: seven new StarzPlay channels on Badr 8, an Al Jazeera reshuffle on Hot Bird 13°E, a 15-channel clear-out on Belintersat 1, and a Bosnian departure on Eutelsat 16D.
Welcome to the Satellite Frequency Update for November 2, 2026. This round-up covers the verified transponder and channel changes recorded on Sunday, November 1, 2026 by KingOfSat, checked on the morning of November 2, 2026 (no November 2 entries had been posted at check time). In total there are 31 verified records: 11 new channels and 20 departures, across four orbital positions.
Headline summary: Badr 8 gained a full StarzPlay bouquet of seven channels on one transponder, Hot Bird 13°E swapped for Al Jazeera Live and added two HD Al Jazeera services, Belintersat 1 cleared fifteen Russian-language channels from 11250 MHz, and TV Duga Plus left Eutelsat 16D. Only three of the eleven new channels are free-to-air — the Al Jazeera trio — so check the encryption column before rescanning.
Badr 8, 26°E — Seven New StarzPlay Channels
The biggest single launch of the day: seven StarzPlay services started together on one Badr 8 transponder, all in DVB-S2 with Irdeto 2 encryption. These are subscription channels, not free-to-air.
| Channel | Change | Transponder | Details |
|---|---|---|---|
| StarzPlay Sports 1 | New | 12034.00 MHz, H, SR 27500, FEC 3/4 | DVB-S2, Irdeto 2, SID 1701, Arabic + English |
| StarzPlay Sports 2 | New | 12034.00 MHz, H, SR 27500, FEC 3/4 | DVB-S2, Irdeto 2, SID 1702, Arabic + English |
| StarzPlay Sports 3 | New | 12034.00 MHz, H, SR 27500, FEC 3/4 | DVB-S2, Irdeto 2, SID 1703, Arabic + English |
| StarzPlay Cricket | New | 12034.00 MHz, H, SR 27500, FEC 3/4 | DVB-S2, Irdeto 2, SID 1704, English |
| StarzPlay Series | New | 12034.00 MHz, H, SR 27500, FEC 3/4 | DVB-S2, Irdeto 2, SID 1705, English |
| StarzPlay Comedy | New | 12034.00 MHz, H, SR 27500, FEC 3/4 | DVB-S2, Irdeto 2, SID 1706, English |
| StarzPlay Action | New | 12034.00 MHz, H, SR 27500, FEC 3/4 | DVB-S2, Irdeto 2, SID 1707, English |
One transponder carries the whole bouquet, so a single-transponder scan of 12034 MHz H finds all seven at once — but without a StarzPlay subscription and an Irdeto-capable setup they will show as scrambled.
Belintersat 1, 51.5°E — Fifteen Channels Leave 11250 MHz
At 17:29 on November 1, fifteen Russian-language channels were recorded as leaving the same Belintersat 1 transponder, 11250.40 MHz, pol. H, in DVB-S2. KingOfSat notes that seven of them are no longer transmitted by satellite in Europe at all.
| Channel | Change | Old Transponder | Details |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kto est Kto | Left | 11250.40 MHz, H | DVB-S2, SID 2101, Russian |
| Europa Plus TV | Left | 11250.40 MHz, H | DVB-S2, SID 2105, Russian |
| KVN | Left | 11250.40 MHz, H | DVB-S2, SID 2137, Russian |

| Muzhskoy | Left | 11250.40 MHz, H | DVB-S2, SID 2111 — no longer transmitted by satellite in Europe |
| Lya Minor | Left | 11250.40 MHz, H | DVB-S2, SID 2126 — no longer transmitted by satellite in Europe |

| Music One - Ru TV | Left | 11250.40 MHz, H | DVB-S2, SID 2168 — no longer transmitted by satellite in Europe |
| Plus | Left | 11250.40 MHz, H | DVB-S2, SID 2169 — no longer transmitted by satellite in Europe |
Did they move? At least six of the fifteen have a confirmed new home on the same satellite: Kto est Kto, Europa Plus TV, KVN and Ohotnik i Ribolov were listed on Belintersat 1 at 11290.00 MHz, H, SR 45000, FEC 3/4 on October 31, and Teatr and Match Planeta on the same 11290 MHz transponder on October 29 — all in DVB-S2 DRE-Crypt. If you lost one of those six, rescan 11290 MHz H first. For the other nine, no replacement frequency was confirmed in this window, so treat them as gone until a new listing appears.
Hot Bird 13°E — Al Jazeera Reshuffle and a Seasonal Swap
Hot Bird 13G and 13F together account for eight of the day's records: four new channels and four departures.
| Channel | Change | Transponder | Details |
|---|---|---|---|
| Al Jazeera Live | New (FTA) | 12110.70 MHz, V, SR 27500, FEC 3/4, Hot Bird 13G | DVB-S, Clear, SID 706, Arabic |
| Al Jazeera Now HD | New (FTA) | 12577.00 MHz, H, SR 27500, FEC 3/4, Hot Bird 13G | DVB-S2, Clear, SID 1602, Arabic |
| Al Jazeera Live HD | New (FTA) | 12577.00 MHz, H, SR 27500, FEC 3/4, Hot Bird 13G | DVB-S2, Clear, SID 1603, Arabic |
| Jason Bourne Collection HD | New | 12465.80 MHz, V, SR 29900, FEC 3/4, Hot Bird 13F | DVB-S2, VideoGuard, SID 4204, Italian + original audio |
| Al Jazeera Mubasher | Left | 12110.70 MHz, V, Hot Bird 13G | DVB-S, SID 706 — same slot now carries Al Jazeera Live |
| Dubai TV HD | Left | 12398.40 MHz, H, Hot Bird 13G | DVB-S2, SID 905, Arabic |
| TRM Network | Left | 11661.40 MHz, V, Hot Bird 13G | DVB-S2, SID 16922 — no longer transmitted by satellite in Europe |
| Halloween Collection HD | Left | 12465.80 MHz, V, Hot Bird 13F | DVB-S2, SID 4204 — replaced on the same slot by Jason Bourne Collection HD |
FTA pick of the day: the Al Jazeera trio is the day's only free-to-air launch — Al Jazeera Live on 12110.70 MHz V plus Now HD and Live HD together on 12577.00 MHz H, all clear, all Arabic. The two same-slot swaps (Mubasher → Live, Halloween → Bourne) are seasonal/brand changes on one SID each, so a rescan of those two transponders updates the names automatically.
Eutelsat 16D, 16°E — TV Duga Plus Leaves
- TV Duga Plus (Team:Media, Bosnian) has left 11262.50 MHz, pol. H on Eutelsat 16D — DVB-S2, SID 116. No replacement frequency was confirmed in this window.
How to Tune In After a Frequency Change
- Rescan the single transponder first. Enter the frequency, polarisation, symbol rate and FEC exactly as listed above, then scan that transponder only — this is faster and safer than a full blind scan.
- If the channel is still missing, run a blind scan on that satellite. Moves often land on a neighbouring transponder within days — the Belintersat move from 11250 MHz to 11290 MHz is a textbook example.
- Check the SID. If your receiver shows the channel name but no picture, the service may have a new SID — delete the old entry and rescan.
- For FTA channels, no key or card is needed. If an FTA channel asks for a key, you are almost certainly on the wrong (encrypted) feed.
- Check encryption before troubleshooting. StarzPlay on Badr 8 and Jason Bourne Collection HD on Hot Bird are encrypted (Irdeto 2 / VideoGuard) — they need a valid subscription, not a rescan.
- Note your dish position. 26°E, 51.5°E, 13°E and 16°E are different orbital slots — one fixed dish position cannot receive all of them without a motorised or multi-feed setup.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why did fifteen channels leave Belintersat 1 at once?
All fifteen left the same transponder, 11250.40 MHz H, at the same time (17:29 on November 1), which points to a transponder clear-out rather than fifteen separate decisions. At least six of them reappeared on 11290.00 MHz H on the same satellite, so this looks mainly like a migration to a new transponder, not a shutdown.
Are the new StarzPlay channels free-to-air?
No. All seven StarzPlay channels on Badr 8 are encrypted in Irdeto 2. You need a StarzPlay subscription and compatible equipment; a rescan alone will only list them as scrambled.
What happened to Al Jazeera Mubasher?
Al Jazeera Mubasher left 12110.70 MHz V on Hot Bird 13G, and the same transponder and SID (706) now carries Al Jazeera Live. Rescan 12110.70 MHz V and the new name should appear in place of the old one.
Why did Dubai TV HD disappear from Hot Bird?
KingOfSat recorded Dubai TV HD leaving 12398.40 MHz H on Hot Bird 13G on November 1, with no replacement frequency confirmed in this window. Check for a new listing before assuming the channel has ended.
What does "left" mean in a frequency update?
It means the channel is no longer transmitted on that transponder. It may have moved to another frequency, changed satellite, or ceased satellite transmission — the update alone does not say which, so always rescan first.
What is the difference between DVB-S and DVB-S2?
DVB-S2 is the newer standard and carries HD channels more efficiently. Most modern receivers support both, but a very old DVB-S-only receiver cannot decode a DVB-S2 transponder even with the right frequency.
Do I need a new dish for the Badr 8 channels?
You need a dish pointed at 26°E. Viewers in Pakistan, the Middle East and much of Europe commonly receive Badr, but the StarzPlay bouquet itself still needs a subscription even with a perfect signal.
Where can I verify these frequencies myself?
