Satellite Frequency Update November 1, 2026: 29 Changes

Satellite Frequency Update November 1, 2026: New Channels, Departures & Transponder Changes

Fresh verified changes from October 30–31, 2026: new free-to-air channels on Eutelsat 7 West A and Nilesat, Sky departures on Astra 28.2°E, a BISS-channel departure on Hispasat, and updated transponders across Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.

Satellite Frequency Update November 1 2026 - satellite dish and satellites in orbit

Welcome to the Satellite Frequency Update for November 1, 2026. This round-up covers the verified transponder and channel changes reported on October 30–31, 2026 by KingOfSat and Satbeams, focusing on the changes most relevant to general satellite viewers: new free-to-air (FTA) channels, channels that have left a transponder, and updated services you may need to rescan for.

Headline summary: TV5Monde expanded its free-to-air presence on Eutelsat 7 West A with two new channels, a new Arabic channel launched on Nilesat, four Sky services left their old Astra 28.2°E transponders, and Hispasat saw a busy reshuffle including a BISS-encrypted departure. If a channel below has vanished from your receiver, a blind scan or a manual rescan of the listed transponder is the first fix to try.

October 31, 2026: Astra 28.2°E — Sky Departures

The biggest UK-focused news of the day came from Astra 2E / 2F / 2G at 28.2°E, where four Sky Digital services were recorded as leaving their transponders on October 31, 2026.

ChannelChangeOld TransponderDetails
Star Gold HDLeft11758.50 MHz, H, Astra 2EDVB-S2, SID 4032
Star Plus HDLeft11758.50 MHz, H, Astra 2EDVB-S2, SID 5011

GB News HDLeft11670.80 MHz, H, Astra 2GDVB-S2, SID 50241

Note for Star Plus HD viewers: KingOfSat had already listed a new frequency for Star Plus HD on October 29, 2026, so the October 31 departure from 11758.50 MHz looks like the old transponder being cleared after a move — rescan rather than assuming the channel is gone entirely.

October 30, 2026: Eutelsat 7 West A & Nilesat — New Free-to-Air Channels

The best news for FTA viewers came from the 7°W neighbourhood, where TV5Monde added two new channels and two further services joined the same transponder in clear.

FTA pick of the day: TV5 Monde Info in English on 11295.80 MHz H is the easiest new addition to test — one transponder, four clear services, and no subscription needed.

Intelsat 20 & Belintersat 1

  • ViewMedia Promo has left 12682.20 MHz, H on Intelsat 20 (68.5°E) — DVB-S2, SID 5.
  • Kto est Kto (Russia) broadcasts in DVB-S2 DRE-Crypt on 11290.00 MHz, H, SR 45000, FEC 3/4, SID 2101 on Belintersat 1 (51.5°E).

Hispasat 30°W — October 31 Reshuffle

Hispasat recorded the longest change list of the two days, spanning Spain and Portugal. The items most relevant to 1BissKey readers are the BISS-encrypted services:

How to Tune In After a Frequency Change

  1. Rescan the single transponder first. Enter the frequency, polarisation, symbol rate and FEC exactly as listed above, then scan that transponder only — this is faster and safer than a full blind scan.
  2. If the channel is still missing, run a blind scan on that satellite. Moves often land on a neighbouring transponder within days.
  3. Check the SID. If your receiver shows the channel name but no picture, the service may have a new SID — delete the old entry and rescan.
  4. For FTA channels, no key or card is needed. If an FTA channel asks for a key, you are almost certainly on the wrong (encrypted) feed.
  5. For BISS channels, only use keys from trusted sources and never pay for a supposedly free key.
  6. Note your dish position. 7°W, 28.2°E and 30°W are different orbital slots — one dish position cannot receive all of them without a motorised or multi-feed setup.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did Star Gold HD and Star Plus HD disappear from 11758 MHz?

KingOfSat recorded both services leaving 11758.50 MHz, H on Astra 2E on October 31, 2026. Star Plus HD had already been listed on a new frequency on October 29, so this is most likely a transponder move — rescan Astra 28.2°E before concluding the channels are gone.

Which new FTA channels can I watch without a subscription?

TV5 Monde Info (English) and TV5 Monde Voyage (French) on Eutelsat 7 West A 11295.80 MHz H, TV5 Monde Chefs and Red Bull TV on the same transponder, Alburhan Roukia TV on Nilesat 12034.20 MHz H, and Aragon TV plus CM2 VIA 2 on Hispasat 30°W.

What does "left" mean in a frequency update?

It means the channel is no longer transmitted on that transponder. It may have moved to another frequency, changed satellite, or ceased satellite transmission — the update alone does not say which, so always rescan first.

What is the difference between DVB-S and DVB-S2?

DVB-S2 is the newer standard and carries HD channels more efficiently. Most modern receivers support both, but a very old DVB-S-only receiver cannot decode a DVB-S2 transponder even with the right frequency.

Do I need a new dish for the 7°W channels?

You need a dish pointed at 7°W (the Nilesat / Eutelsat 7 West A neighbourhood). Viewers in Pakistan and the Middle East commonly receive this slot; viewers in the UK need a larger dish and a clear line of sight.

Why do BISS channels like DKISS disappear?

BISS feeds are often temporary or event-based. When a feed ends, the service simply leaves the transponder. Updated BISS services on the same satellite, like DMAX España and Veo 7, usually only need a rescan, not new equipment.

How often should I rescan my receiver?

A quick transponder rescan whenever a favourite channel vanishes, plus a full scan every few weeks, is enough for most viewers. Daily full blind scans are unnecessary.

Where can I verify these frequencies myself?

KingOfSat (en.kingofsat.net) and LyngSat publish daily change logs, and Satbeams publishes dated transponder news. Links are in the sources section below.
