What changed in this check

Sky’s core sports bouquet remains concentrated across a small set of 28.2°E transponders. At 7°W, a beIN multiplex carries several numbered, Xtra and news services; most are subscription services, while individual clear flags can be temporary and should be rechecked. France’s Eurosport 1 HD and beIN Sport 1 HD were verified on Astra 19.2°E. The free-to-air scan list includes Dubai Sports, Saudi Sport and TRT Spor.

Launch watch: this review found no major new satellite-first sports channel launch with both current carriage and complete parameters. App-only and FAST-channel launches were excluded rather than presented as satellite services.

Frequently asked questions

Are the listed sports channels broadcasting a match right now?

No. The table verifies satellite carriage, not a live programme. Check the broadcaster’s official schedule for the event and your region.

Why does an FTA channel sometimes show an encrypted screen?

Rights holders may encrypt selected events or change access status. A monitoring snapshot can become stale, so rescan and verify before relying on it.

Can a standard HD receiver tune the Sky or beIN entries?

It may detect the service, but viewing encrypted programming requires authorized access and compatible hardware. UHD HEVC services also need a capable 4K/HEVC receiver and display.

Why is there no list of temporary match feeds?

No October event-specific feed with an official announcement and reliable validity window was verified. Temporary feeds are intentionally omitted rather than guessed.

What does SID mean?

The service ID identifies a channel inside a transport stream. It helps distinguish services sharing one frequency but does not replace the full tuning parameters.

Why can I receive 7°W but not 26°E or 42°E?

Each satellite uses different coverage beams. Dish size, location, obstructions, alignment, LNB skew and weather all affect reception.

Should I manually enter FEC?

Many modern receivers detect FEC automatically. If manual entry is required, use the value shown and confirm the receiver supports the listed modulation.
