New Satellite TV Channels Worldwide — October 2026 Global Update

New satellite TV channels worldwide October 2026 - global coverage map

Global update summary

The strongest activity was concentrated around 7–8°W, 13°E, 26°E, 28.2°E and 52–53°E. Europe also saw large bouquet migrations rather than purely new services.

The headline is not a single blockbuster launch, but a broad reshuffle: fresh FTA services in MENA and Africa, Pakistani additions on Paksat MM1, seasonal European channel identities, and several large platform exits.

Scope note: The supplied monitoring dataset covered MENA, South Asia, Europe, Africa and Central Asia. It supported about 60 distinct recent changes—not 100 fully verified channel records with complete parameters. The Americas and Oceania were not represented in that dataset, so this edition does not claim findings for those regions. The report does not pad the count with duplicates, uncertain ticker items or invented values. Nhyira Baptist TV and ME Sat are excluded from the confirmed table because their source records conflict.

MENA led FTA activity

Anigye TV, Sudan TV, OSM Health, OSM Wasit, Shehab TV, FR, Segenet Satellite TV, Kanon TV Sudan and Diwan TV were among the clearest launches or additions.

Europe reshuffled

New or seasonal identities included RMC Sport 1 HD, Italiana, Sky Halloween HD, QVC Christmas and 3+ Family, while large bouquets migrated or closed.

Asia gained focused additions

Paksat MM1 added four clearly parametered services on 3845 H, while 52°E and 53°E added Persian-language channels and test services.

New channels by region

“New” below means a source reported a launch or addition during the monitoring window. Returns, replacement names and new-to-satellite appearances are described separately.

MENA

New: OSM Health and OSM Wasit at 7°W; Shehab TV, FR, Segenet Satellite TV, Kanon TV Sudan and Diwan TV at 8°W; Anigye TV and Sudan TV at 26°E.
Returned/moved: Al Forat, Forsa TV, Yemen Today, Imam Ali and Diwaniya Alentikhabia.

South Asia

New on Paksat MM1: Al Ehsaan TV, Paigham TV Pashto, Noor TV (UK) and IFilm English on 3845 H. Geo’s network moved to 4180 H. Speed News at 68.5°E became FTA.

Europe

New/seasonal: RMC Sport 1 HD, Italiana, Taranto TV, 3+ Family, QVC Christmas, Sky Halloween HD and Jack Ryan Collection HD. WBD activated a large CEE distribution mux at 9°E.

Africa

New: Life HD TV and Refondation TV at 2.9°E, plus CBI News at 46°E. ZBC and Al Wasat TV were reported broadcasting on Azerspace-1.

Central Asia

New/tests: 316 TV, Iran National Revolution TV, Project Leon, Radio Shemroon and 3.16 Channel at 52°E; DW International, TBS TV and TIGRAI TV tests at 53°E.

Open questions

Several LyngSat ticker-only additions lacked a confirmed mux page. Those names are not promoted to the main table. Conflicting records are called out rather than resolved by guesswork.

Verified satellite parameters

Filter the evidence table by region or status. “N/A” means the cited source did not expose a reliable value in the research record.

Recently changed or discontinued

Departure dates refer to the monitored satellite position, not necessarily the closure of a broadcaster.

Major platform exits

  • Hot Bird 13°E · 04 Oct: a 21-channel German/Swiss/Austrian bouquet left 11095.9 H, including 3+ HD, ORF services, RTL Schweiz, ProSieben Schweiz, Servus TV HD, TV24 HD and TV25 HD.
  • Thor 0.8°W · 07 Oct: 16 Digi TV / Focus Sat Romanian channels left 11861.8 H, including Digi Sport 1, Digi 24, Pro TV, Kanal D Romania and Film Now.
  • Eutelsat 16°E · 19 Sep: ten Bosnian regional services left 11401.5 V, including TVSA, RTV TK, RTV USK and Hercegovacka TV.
  • 7°W · 21 Sep: the Kuwait TV HD bouquet and beIN Sports News departed their monitored transponders.

Named departures & replacements

  • 8°W: Melody Zaman, Melody Cinema, Melody Mosalsalat, Drama Pro and Layaly El Madeh left on 07 Oct.
  • 28.2°E: Sky Transformers HD gave way to Sky Halloween HD; Sky 5* Movies HD gave way to Sky Animation HD; QVC Extra was replaced by QVC Christmas.
  • 19.2°E: Movistar Orgullo, Deportes 7, Deportes 8 and M+ Vacaciones left on 17 Sep; Romance and Terror returned.
  • 46°E: Kameme TV HD, K24, TV E Tanzania HD and Lagos TV left during September.
Changed transponders: Comedy Central Extra, MTV Europe, Nick Junior and Comedy Central UK moved to 11305 H at 28.2°E. A Sky Italia group moved to 12418 V at 13°E. These are relocations, not new channel launches.

FTA availability & regional reception

A listed FTA service is unencrypted at the checked transponder, but reception still depends on beam footprint, dish size, weather, local obstructions and receiver compatibility.

Best FTA clusters in this update

  • 26°E: Anigye TV, Jordan Sport HD and Sudan TV.
  • 7–8°W: OSM Health, OSM Wasit, Al Forat, Shehab TV, FR, Diwan TV, Segenet and Kanon TV Sudan.
  • 38°E: new Paksat MM1 services on 3845 H; the Geo network mixes FTA and Conax services.
  • 52–53°E: Persian-language additions and MENASAT tests.

Important reception cautions

  • C-band vs Ku-band: Paksat MM1 3845 H, Thaicom 6 4120 H and Azerspace-1 4003 V require C-band equipment.
  • DVB-S2 / H.265: older MPEG-2-only receivers may lock the carrier but show no picture.
  • T2-MI: Italiana at 5°W includes a T2-MI path; not every consumer receiver can decode it.
  • Encrypted listings: VideoGuard, Nagravision, Viaccess, Panaccess, Conax and VeriMatrix services require authorized access.

How to scan and organize new channels

Menu names vary by receiver, but the underlying workflow is consistent.

  1. Choose the correct satellite.
Confirm orbital position, LNB type and switch/DiSEqC port before entering a transponder.
  2. Enter the transponder exactly.
Add frequency, polarization and symbol rate. Use the listed FEC when the receiver does not support Auto.
  3. Match the transmission mode.
Select DVB-S or DVB-S2 and the correct modulation where your receiver exposes that option.
  4. Check signal quality, not only strength.
Strong level with zero quality often indicates the wrong satellite, polarization or LNB setting.
  5. Run a network or transponder scan.
Use a transponder scan for precision; network scan can discover linked frequencies but may add duplicates.
  6. Label results by date and access.
Separate FTA, encrypted, test and temporary/seasonal channels. Recheck flapping services before deleting old entries.

Frequently asked questions

Short answers to the issues most likely to affect a fresh scan.

Does “new” always mean a brand-new broadcaster?

No. This report separates genuine launches from channels newly added to a satellite, returned after an absence, moved to another transponder, or temporarily rebranded.

Why are some technical fields marked N/A?

The monitoring source did not provide a reliably confirmed value. N/A is preferable to guessing a SID, FEC, codec or frequency.

Can I watch every FTA channel listed here?

Not necessarily. FTA means unencrypted, but the satellite beam must cover your location and your dish, LNB and receiver must support the band and transmission standard.

Why does a DVB-S2 channel lock but show no video?

The receiver may not support the video codec, often H.265/HEVC, or the service may be encrypted despite a valid carrier lock.

Should I use blind scan or manual scan?

Manual transponder scan is faster and cleaner for a known change. Blind scan is useful when hunting unknown carriers but often creates duplicate services.

Are seasonal names permanent?

Usually not. Sky Halloween HD, QVC Christmas and similar identities may revert or be replaced after the relevant season.

Why can KingOfSat and LyngSat disagree?

They rely on reception monitoring that can be updated at different times. Short-lived tests and flapping channels are especially prone to conflicting status reports.

Sources & verification notes

All source pages were read on 11 October 2026. The source date attached to each record comes from the monitoring database.

Internal reading

Verification note: No individual broadcaster press releases were found for these launches. The report relies on KingOfSat and LyngSat reception reports. Channel availability can change without notice.

Conclusion: Across the five monitored regions, October’s satellite picture is defined by steady regional FTA growth alongside aggressive bouquet reorganization. Rescan only the relevant transponders, retain old entries until a change is stable, and use authorized subscriptions for encrypted services.
