Satellite Frequency Updates October 5-11, 2026: OSN Move, New Channels & Departures

Satellite dish receiving verified transponder updates for October 2026

What changed this week

The largest confirmed event was the OSN bouquet's move to 12,467 MHz H on Eutelsat 7 West A. Elsewhere, new or returning services appeared at 8°W, 19.2°E, 26°E and 53°E, while several short-lived or discontinued services were recorded.

Why the list stops at 38: the source record supported 38 distinct, useful service records—not 100. No entries were invented, duplicated or inferred to fill the requested target. Modulation is shown as N/A where the monitoring record did not state it.

Middle East & North Africa

7°W, 8°W and 26°E carried the week's heaviest movement.

Reception depends on the satellite beam and local dish setup.

Europe

13°E, 19.2°E and 42°E recorded an encryption flap, a launch and a departure.

No operator press release was found for these specific changes.

Western Asia

53°E recorded one returning free-to-air service.

No in-week change was verified at 52°E, 68.5°E or 95°E.

Detailed frequency records

Each row is one distinct service. "N/A" means the checked source did not provide that field. Status reflects the latest event recorded during 5–11 October 2026.

New and changed records

OSN bouquet moved at 7°W

Sixteen OSN services were logged on a new frequency, moving to Eutelsat 7 West A at 12,467 H. The previous logged frequency was 12,379.60 H on 2 October.

12467 H · 30000 · 2/3 · DVB-S2 · SIDs 5661–5676

FR HD on a new frequency

FR HD was listed clear on Eutelsat 8 West B, with MPEG-4 video and English audio.

11137.20 V · 27500 · 3/4 · DVB-S2 · SID 7315

RMC Sport 1 HD started

The Canal+ France service launched on Astra 1N in Nagravision 3, using H.265 video and French audio.

12402 V · 29700 · 2/3 · DVB-S2 · SID 10019

Two clear services at 26°E

Sudan TV appeared on 11,843 H and Anigye TV started on 12,265 H. Both were listed free-to-air.

Badr 8 · DVB-S / DVB-S2 · SR 27500 · FEC 5/6

Returns at 8°W, 26°E and 53°E

Diwaniya Alentikhabia, Islamic Library TV and Almasera returned after breaks. Islamic Library TV had left the same frequency two days earlier.

11178.70 V · 12265 H · 12640 V

Temporary encryption at 13°E

Three Eurosport HD services became encrypted and returned to free-to-air on the same day. The net end-of-day status was FTA.

11334.40 H · 27500 · 3/4 · SIDs 751–753

Departed and short-lived services

Departure means the service left the listed frequency according to the monitoring record; it does not necessarily mean the channel ceased operating everywhere.

7°W: Zaytoona left 11,430.20 V. 8°W: Drama Pro, Melody Zaman, Melody Cinema, Layaly El Madeh and Melody Mosalsalat left 10,971.20 H. 42°E: HT Spor left 12,344.60 V.
8°W: Misk Syria TV left 11,137.20 V.
7°W: Al Nahrain TV left 11,315.30 V and was listed as no longer transmitted in Europe.
8°W: Massaya left 10,971.20 H after a one-day appearance; Alons TV left 11,095.70 H. Both were listed as no longer transmitted in Europe.

How to scan a transponder

Ku-band dish alignment concept showing azimuth, elevation and signal path

Use only a compatible receiver and services you are authorized to receive. Menu names differ by model, but the tuning sequence is broadly consistent.

Select the satellite

Open Installation or Antenna Setup, choose the correct orbital position, and confirm the connected LNB or DiSEqC port.

Check LNB settings

For a universal Ku-band LNB, confirm the receiver's expected LNB profile. Do not change a working oscillator setting without recording it first.

Add the transponder

Enter frequency, polarization and symbol rate exactly as listed. Enter FEC only if the receiver requests it; otherwise leave automatic detection enabled.

Choose the scan mode

Use free-to-air only when you want clear services. A network scan may discover linked transponders, while a single-TP scan is more controlled.

Watch signal quality

Quality—not just strength—indicates whether the tuner has locked the carrier. If quality remains zero, recheck the satellite, polarization and SR.

Save and label

Save found services, then remove obvious duplicates and label favorites. A departed service may remain in the old channel list until deleted.

Signal-quality troubleshooting

Satellite receiver transponder scan workflow from dish selection to saved channels
  • No lock: verify the orbital position, frequency, H/V polarization and symbol rate before moving the dish.
  • Strength but zero quality: the dish may be aimed at the wrong satellite, the polarity may be wrong, or the receiver may not support the transmission standard.
  • Some services missing: run a single-transponder scan first; then try network scan if the broadcaster links its transport streams.
  • Picture breaks up: inspect connectors, cable loss, dish alignment and rain fade. Small dishes have less weather margin.
  • Audio but no picture: check codec support. H.265/HEVC and MPEG-4 services require compatible receiver hardware.
  • Encrypted screen: a valid subscription or broadcaster authorization may be required. Tuning data alone does not grant access.
  • Old channel still listed: receivers can retain stale service entries. Rescan the TP and remove duplicates manually.

Frequently asked questions

Were any completely new transponders confirmed this week?

No. The 12,467 H event at 7°W was a new frequency for the OSN services, but the transponder slot itself was already present.

Why is modulation marked N/A?

The checked KingOfSat news entries did not state QPSK or 8PSK for these records. The report does not infer modulation from the DVB standard.

Does "clear" guarantee reception in my country?

No. Clear means no access encryption was listed. Reception still depends on footprint, dish size, line of sight, local interference and receiver compatibility.

What happened to Massaya on 8°W?

Massaya was logged as starting on 8 October and leaving on 9 October 2026, making it a one-day appearance in the checked record.

Did the Eurosport services at 13°E remain encrypted?

No. The three listed services changed to encrypted and then returned to free-to-air on the same day; their end-of-day status was FTA.

Why are there no updates for 52°E, 68.5°E or 95°E?

No in-week changes were verified on the checked sources. A LyngSat mention for Radio Shemroon at 52°E lacked an established event date, and KingOfSat did not track 95°E changes in the checked window.

Can these frequencies unlock paid channels?

No. Frequency data only helps a receiver tune a carrier. Encrypted services require lawful authorization from the broadcaster or platform.

Sources and verification notes

All source pages were read through indexed web records on 11 October 2026. KingOfSat provided the dated event log; LyngSat independently supported selected additions. No operator announcement for the specific frequency changes was found.

  2. KingOfSat — 8°W updates checked 11 Oct 2026
  3. KingOfSat — 13°E updates checked 11 Oct 2026
  4. KingOfSat — 19.2°E updates checked 11 Oct 2026

  9. KingOfSat — 68.5°E updates no tracked entries in the checked window
  10. LyngSat — latest additions ticker indexed around 10 Oct 2026
Conclusion: the week was defined by service movement rather than new capacity. Rescan only the affected transponders first, keep automatic modulation detection enabled where supported, and treat unverified listings as provisional.
