📊 Reading a transponder spectrum

Each peak is one transponder. When a channel moves, its service ID reappears under a different peak — that is what trackers log as a “new frequency” event.

🌍 Asia-Pacific — 75°E to 138°E

Retune Guide: What To Do When a Frequency Changes

A channel “moving frequency” never means moving your dish — the satellite is the same, only the transponder address changed. Follow these steps:

1
Confirm the new parameters. Frequency, polarization, symbol rate, FEC and DVB-S vs DVB-S2 must all match the tracker listing exactly — one wrong digit means no lock.
2
Add or edit the transponder manually. In your receiver's antenna/satellite settings, add the new transponder to the correct satellite — do not delete the old one until the new one locks.
3
Single-transponder scan. Scan only the new transponder (not the whole satellite) — faster, and it avoids duplicating your channel list.
4
Check signal quality, not just strength. Strength shows the LNB is alive; quality shows the transponder locked. Low quality with high strength usually means wrong SR/FEC.
5
Clean up. Once the channel is back, delete the dead transponder entry so future blind scans stay quick and your list stays tidy.
🛠️ Dish-side checks after a move
Technician adjusting LNB on satellite dish with signal meter — dish tuning after frequency change guide

Same dish, new address: enter the exact transponder parameters and rescan — only touch the dish if signal quality drops on every transponder.

⚠️ A Note on “New Frequency” Lists

Not every list you find online is trustworthy. Some sites copy old parameters, mix up MHz and GHz, or invent “updates” for clicks. 1BissKey only reports changes with a named source and a check date — never enter random parameters from unverified forwards into your receiver.

Final Verdict

A genuinely busy 48 hours: 28 verified transponder events across 13 positions — the Sentech mux expansion on 68.5°E and the My TV mux additions on 75°E are the biggest FTA gains, while the Azerspace-2 clear-out removes four Pakistani music channels. Scan the new FTA entries, delete the dead transponders, and check back tomorrow.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did my channel disappear overnight?

Most often it moved to a new transponder or left the satellite entirely — like the four channels that just left Azerspace-2 at 45°E. Check the tables above: if your channel is listed as LEFT, rescan won't bring it back on that satellite.

What does “new frequency for X” mean in tracker news?

The channel is now transmitted on a different transponder (different MHz + polarization). Your receiver still has the old address, so you must add the new transponder and rescan to get it back.

Do I need to move my dish when a channel changes frequency?

No — the satellite position is unchanged. Only adjust the dish if every transponder on that satellite lost quality, which points to alignment, LNB or cable issues instead.

Why must the symbol rate and FEC match exactly?

The receiver locks onto a transponder using SR and FEC as part of the “address”. A wrong SR (e.g. 27500 vs 29900) means no lock even when the frequency and polarization are right — this is the most common retune mistake.

How can I tell if a channel is FTA or encrypted?

Trackers mark it “Clear”/FTA versus an encryption system (VideoGuard, Irdeto 2, Nagravision, Conax…). On your receiver, an FTA channel plays immediately; an encrypted one shows a scrambled or “no access” message without a valid subscription.

How often should I rescan my satellite?

A full rescan every 2–4 weeks is plenty for most viewers; weekly if you follow feeds closely. After any announced move, a single-transponder scan of the new parameters is faster and cleaner.

Where do 1BissKey's frequency updates come from?

SatBeams' daily transponder news, KingOfSat's per-position news and additions feeds, and LyngSat's latest-change trackers — each item is checked against its source date before it appears here. (Note: flysat.com shut down permanently in June 2026 and is no longer a source.)

LyngSat's EchoStar 105/SES 11 page returned HTTP 403 during verification; its undated ticker items were not reported.
