Tandberg Update November 6, 2026: 26 Quiet Days, Full SES-6 Map
The SES-6 page was stamped again, this time November 5, and once again every Tandberg Director row on it is exactly where it was. With the picture stable for a 26th straight day, today we publish the full reference map: every Director transponder on SES-6 at 40.5°W, every channel, every SID and PID — plus how to scan these feeds, what equipment decodes them, and how Director differs from PowerVu and BISS when you meet one in a scan.
Quick answer: As of November 6, 2026, there are no new Tandberg or Director changes to report. KingOfSat's latest batch (155 records, most recent updates November 5, 22:43 CET) contains no Director or Tandberg entry, and LyngSat's SES-6 page — now stamped November 5 — still lists the same three Director rows with the same parameters and the same row stamps as before. This is the 26th consecutive quiet day for this slot, counting from October 12.

What was checked today
This slot tracks the same public sources every day, so a quiet day is a checked result, not a skipped one:
- KingOfSat new additions list — batch stamp November 5, 22:43 CET, 155 records. The full batch was searched for Director and Tandberg entries — OSN and Canal+ sets, Al Jazeera sets, Belintersat DRE-Crypt entries, RASCOM and ViewMedia entries, and the rest — and no Director, Tandberg, SES-6 or RCN hit anywhere in it.
- LyngSat SES-6 at 40.5°W — page stamp moved from November 4 to November 5, but the move touched something else on the page. All three Director rows are unchanged: same frequencies, same symbol rates, same row stamps. The newest visible addition on the page remains the PowerVu transponder 4066 R, carrying the same four channels (LN+, Plim Plim, Unife, PX Sports) already listed on 3834 L — a PowerVu row, not a Director one.
- SatBeams transponder news — the November 5 bulletin is now published (it was not out at yesterday's check). It covers changes at 13°E, 28°E, 75°E and 5°W — none of them at 40.5°W, so nothing in it touches SES-6 or any Director listing. The November 6 bulletin had not been published at check time.
No BISS keys, authorizations or private feed details are published or sought in this slot. Tandberg Director is a professional contribution system, and only its public transponder listings are reported here.
Director rows on SES-6, unchanged
| Frequency | Parameters | Bouquet | Row stamp |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3923 L | DVB-S2, 8PSK, 7000, 3/4 | America (Peru) | 260616 |
| 4019 R | DVB-S2, 8PSK, 6700, 5/6, T2-MI, PLP 0 and PLP 1 | RCN (Colombia) | 221118 |
| 4028 R | DVB-S2, 8PSK, 8000, 3/4, Director plus Irdeto | RCN (Colombia) | 241008 |
The row stamps tell the story: the America row was last edited June 16, 2026, the 4028 R row October 8, 2024, and the 4019 R row November 18, 2022. Three feeds, three very different ages, all still listed, all still unchanged. Below is the full map of what sits on each of them.
Evergreen: the complete SES-6 Director map
Fourteen services across three transponders. Every value below is taken from the current LyngSat SES-6 listing, checked today. Keep this page bookmarked: if any row changes tomorrow, the change will show up here first, in this same format.
1. 3923 L — America (Peru)
DVB-S2, 8PSK, 7000, 3/4, listed C/N lock 9.4 dB, ONID-TID 1-101, row stamp 260616. One bouquet, two services, both Director-encrypted:
| SID | Service | Format | VPID / APID | Encryption |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | America (Peru) | MPEG-4/HD | 101 / 102 Spa | Director |
| 3 | America (Peru) | MPEG-4/HD | 301 / 302 Spa, 303 Qaa | Director |
2. 4019 R — RCN (Colombia), T2-MI with two PLPs
DVB-S2, 8PSK, 6700, 5/6, T2-MI, listed C/N lock 9.4 dB, row stamp 221118. This is the only Director row on SES-6 that uses T2-MI, and it carries two physical layer pipes. PLP 0 (ONID-TID 12289-10) holds the HD television services and the radio services; PLP 1 (ONID-TID 12289-11) holds a single SD version of RCN TV:
| PLP | SID | Service | Format | VPID / APID | Encryption |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | 2 | RCN TV | MPEG-4/HD | 101 / 102 Spa | Director |
| 0 | 3 | RCN HD2 | MPEG-4/HD | 301 / 302 Spa | Director |
| 0 | 5 | RCN Radio | Radio | — / 602 Spa | Director |
| 0 | 6 | La FM | Radio | — / 402 Spa | Director |
| 0 | 7 | Radio 1 (Colombia) | Radio | — / 802 Spa | Director |
| 0 | 8 | La Mega | Radio | — / 803 Spa | Director |
| 1 | 1 | RCN TV | MPEG-4/SD | 1101 / 1102 Spa | Director |
Note the duplicate: RCN TV appears twice, once in HD on PLP 0 and once in SD on PLP 1. A receiver that cannot select a PLP will usually show only one of them — or neither, if it cannot handle T2-MI at all.
3. 4028 R — RCN (Colombia), Director plus Irdeto
DVB-S2, 8PSK, 8000, 3/4, listed C/N lock 7.9 dB, ONID-TID 1-1, row stamp 241008. Five services, all in SD, all listed with both Director and Irdeto encryption:
| SID | Service | Format | VPID / APID | Encryption |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | RCN TV | MPEG-4/SD | 101 / 102 Spa | Director + Irdeto |
| 2 | RCN Nuestra Tele Internacional | MPEG-4/SD | 201 / 202 Spa | Director + Irdeto |
| 3 | NTN 24 Internacional | MPEG-4/SD | 301 / 302 Spa | Director + Irdeto |
| 4 | RCN Novelas | MPEG-4/SD | 401 / 402 Spa | Director + Irdeto |
| 5 | RCN Nuestra Tele | MPEG-4/SD | 701 / 702 Spa | Director + Irdeto |

4. How to scan a Director feed
Scanning for Director feeds is the same as scanning for any C-band service on SES-6, with two extra steps. First, enter the transponder manually — frequency, polarization, symbol rate and FEC exactly as listed above — rather than relying on a blind scan to guess the parameters. A blind scan will find the transponder, but a manual entry proves you are on the right one. Second, on 4019 R, make sure the receiver is set to handle T2-MI and to select a PLP: PLP 0 for the HD services and radio, PLP 1 for the SD RCN TV. A receiver without T2-MI support will lock the carrier and still show nothing, which is the most common reason this transponder looks "empty" on older equipment.
5. What equipment actually decodes Director
Director is a professional conditional access system, and it behaves like one. A normal consumer FTA receiver will lock the signal, list the services, and then show them as scrambled — because there is no key to type in. Authorization comes from the broadcaster, delivered to an authorized professional receiver (IRD) with Director support. That is the whole point of the system: the feed is a private pipe between the broadcaster and its authorized receive sites, not a public channel. If you are setting up reception for one of these feeds, the question is not "what is the key" but "is this receiver authorized for this feed" — and that is a matter between the receiver operator and the broadcaster.
6. Director vs PowerVu vs BISS: telling them apart in a scan
All three systems appear on SES-6, and the listing tells you which one you are looking at before you touch the receiver. Use this quick comparison when a new row shows up in your scan:
| System | Used for | How access works | On SES-6 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Director (Tandberg) | Broadcaster contribution feeds | Broadcaster authorization to a professional IRD | RCN, America (Peru) |
| PowerVu | Network distribution | Receiver authorization managed by the network | AMC, Fox Sports, LN+, 4066 R |
| BISS | Occasional and some permanent feeds | Session key entered manually in the receiver | Scattered services, e.g. ZooMoo, El Tiempo TV |
The practical rule: if the listing says Director or PowerVu, do not hunt for a key — there is none to enter, and the feed opens only on an authorized receiver. If it says BISS, the key is the thing that matters, and a changed key is the first thing to check when a BISS feed goes dark.
7. Confirming you are on the right feed
Frequency alone is not enough — two services can share a neighbourhood on the band. Confirm the match with the identifiers in the tables above: the ONID-TID (1-101 on 3923 L, 12289-10 and 12289-11 on 4019 R, 1-1 on 4028 R), the SID of the service, and the video and audio PIDs. If all three match the listing, you are on the right feed even if the picture stays scrambled — encryption does not change the identifiers. If the SIDs do not match, you are on a different transponder or a different satellite, and no amount of retuning the same frequency will fix it.
8. What to do the day a Director row changes
After 26 quiet days, a change will stand out — and the response is the same checklist every time. First, compare the row with the map above and note exactly what moved: frequency, symbol rate, FEC, PLP, or the service list. Second, update the stored transponder in the receiver before changing anything else — most "dead feed" reports after a change are receivers still tuned to the old parameters. Third, re-check the ONID-TID and SIDs to confirm the new row is the same bouquet and not a different service that took over the slot. Fourth, if a service disappears from the listing entirely, check the other two Director rows before assuming the bouquet is gone — a broadcaster that moves one feed often moves the rest. This slot runs the same comparison every day at 3:30 PM PKT, so any change will be reported here within a day.

Frequently asked questions
Has anything changed for Tandberg on November 6, 2026?
No. KingOfSat's latest batch (155 records, most recent updates November 5, 22:43 CET) has no Director or Tandberg entry, and all three SES-6 Director rows are unchanged from yesterday. This is the 26th consecutive quiet day.
Why did the SES-6 page date move to November 5 if nothing changed?
The page stamp updates when any entry on the page changes. The page moved from November 4 to November 5, while the three Director rows and their own stamps (260616, 221118, 241008) are untouched. Watch the row stamps, not the page stamp.
What are all the Director channels on SES-6?
Fourteen services across three transponders: America (Peru) on 3923 L; RCN TV, RCN HD2 and four radio services on 4019 R (PLP 0) plus an SD RCN TV on PLP 1; and five RCN services on 4028 R. Full SIDs and PIDs are in the tables above.
Which receiver do I need to watch a Director feed?
A professional receiver (IRD) with Tandberg Director support, authorized by the broadcaster for that feed. A consumer FTA receiver will lock the signal and list the services, but show them as scrambled — there is no key to enter.
What is T2-MI PLP 0 and PLP 1 on 4019 R?
T2-MI carries the services in two physical layer pipes. PLP 0 holds the HD television services (RCN TV, RCN HD2) and the four radio services; PLP 1 holds a single SD version of RCN TV. The receiver must support T2-MI and PLP selection to see them.
How is Director different from PowerVu and BISS?
Director and PowerVu are both professional systems where access is granted by authorization to the receiver, not by a key you type in. BISS is the odd one out: it uses a session key entered manually, so a changed key is the first thing to check when a BISS feed goes dark.
How do I confirm I am locked on the right feed?
Match the ONID-TID, the SID and the video/audio PIDs against the tables above. If all three match, you are on the right feed even if the picture stays scrambled. If the SIDs do not match, you are on a different transponder or satellite.
When is the next Tandberg check?
Tomorrow at 3:30 PM PKT, same sources, same row-by-row comparison.
