Tandberg Update October 24, 2026: Director Feeds Still Live

TANDBERG TECHNOLOGY • DAILY STATUS

Tandberg Update October 24, 2026: Director Feeds Still Live

No new Tandberg Director feed changes today — the 13th consecutive quiet day. All three standing Director transponders on SES-6 40.5°W are verified live and unchanged. Below: today’s status check, the confirmed Director transponder list, and a practical diagnostic guide — how to tell a real Director feed shutdown from a setup problem on your own dish.

Quick Answer — October 24, 20260 new Director/Tandberg records in the last 24 hours. All three standing Director-encrypted transponders on SES-6 40.5°W (3923 L, 4019 R, 4028 R) are verified present and unchanged — the LyngSat SES-6 page stamp moved to 2026-10-23 with no parameter changes on any Director row. This is the 13th consecutive quiet day for the Tandberg slot (October 12–24).

Daily Status — October 24, 2026

We scanned the usual sources for any Tandberg/Director conditional access movement in the last 24 hours (October 23, 15:30 PKT → October 24, 15:30 PKT).

Source CheckedFindings
KingOfSat New Records (batch stamped 2026-10-24 10:16 CET)46 records scanned — 0 Director / Tandberg hits. Fresh entries are non-Director channels and routine transport-stream updates.
KingOfSat News (Oct 23–24 window)Saturday October 24 items cover Eutelsat 7 West A, Eutelsat 7C, Express AM6, Hot Bird 13G, Intelsat 20 and TurkmenÄlem/MonacoSat — no Director activity. Friday October 23 items (5 Drama UK, Comedy Central HD UK, Sudan TV) are likewise non-Director and covered by earlier slots.
LyngSat SES-6 40.5°W (page stamped 2026-10-23)All 3 Director rows present, parameters identical — unchanged.
Web / equipment news (October 2026)No fresh Tandberg/Director CA announcements found — only historical press releases and unrelated broadcast items.
What this means for viewers: nothing has moved, left, or gone free-to-air in the Director footprint. If a Director service looks dark on your setup today, the cause is far more likely to be on the receiving side — see the diagnostic guide below before assuming the feed ended.

All three rows below were re-checked against the LyngSat SES-6 page on October 24, 2026. Parameters are identical to the October 23 check.

Important: Director is a professional conditional access system. These services are not openable with a standard consumer receiver, and this blog does not publish keys or authorizations for them. The table above is a status reference for dish owners and feed trackers, not a viewing guide.

Start with signal lock: a receiver that cannot lock the transponder has a dish or LNB problem, not a feed problem.

Feed Gone Dark? How to Tell a Real Shutdown from a Setup Problem

A Director feed that has truly ended and a feed your setup simply cannot receive look identical on screen — both are black. Work through these checks in order before reporting a feed as dead.

1. No lock at all: suspect the dish first

If your receiver shows no signal lock on 3923 L, 4019 R or 4028 R, the transponder is almost certainly still there — your dish is not seeing it. C-band reception on SES-6 40.5°W needs correct azimuth, elevation and circular-polarization setup (note the L and R polarizations above, not the linear H/V used on Ku-band). Check for a moved dish, a damaged or waterlogged LNB, and loose or corroded F-connectors before anything else. A neighbouring C-band transponder that locks normally proves the chain works and points the fault at that one frequency entry.

2. Lock but black screen: that is normal for Director

A strong lock with a black screen does not mean the feed ended. Director-encrypted services stay black on any receiver that is not authorized for that network, even with a perfect signal. Only an authorized professional IRD on the distribution network decodes them. If your signal quality is good and the row is still listed by LyngSat, the feed is live — your receiver simply is not part of the authorized audience.

3. The T2-MI trap on 4019 R

RCN on 4019 R is carried as T2-MI with two PLPs (PLP 0 and PLP 1). A receiver or tuner that does not handle T2-MI, or one set to the wrong PLP, will show nothing even with a full lock. If other SES-6 services work but 4019 R does not, check the T2-MI and PLP settings first — this is the single most common false “feed dead” report for this transponder.

4. Wrong parameters: check the row stamp

Compare your stored entry against the current listing, field by field: frequency, polarization, symbol rate and FEC. A single changed digit (for example SR 6700 entered as 7000) breaks the lock while everything else looks right. LyngSat row stamps tell you whether a row itself changed — the three Director rows still carry their long-standing stamps, which is how we know today’s quiet day is real and not a missed update.

📷 C-BAND HARDWARE

C-band Director reception lives or dies on the feedhorn and LNB: polarization, focal distance and skew all have to be right.

5. Before you report a feed dead, confirm all five

  • Signal lock and quality are good on that exact frequency and polarization.
  • A neighbouring transponder on the same satellite locks normally.
  • Your stored SR, FEC and (for 4019 R) PLP match the current listing.
  • The LyngSat row is actually gone or changed — not merely unchanged.
  • At least one independent listing (KingOfSat or LyngSat) shows the change.

If any check fails, fix the setup first. A genuine shutdown shows up as a removed or changed row in the listings, not just a black screen at home.

Frequently Asked Questions

Has any Tandberg Director feed changed today?

No. Zero new Director/Tandberg records were found in the last 24 hours, and all three SES-6 40.5°W Director rows are unchanged. This is the 13th consecutive quiet day.

Why is a Director channel black even with a strong signal?

Because Director is professional conditional access. A good signal only proves the transponder is reaching your dish; decoding additionally requires an authorized professional receiver on that distribution network.

Can I watch RCN or América (Peru) from SES-6 with a normal receiver?

No. The Director-encrypted services on 3923 L, 4019 R and 4028 R are not openable with a consumer receiver, and no keys are published here.

What should I check first if 4019 R shows nothing?

Your T2-MI and PLP settings. 4019 R carries RCN in T2-MI across PLP 0 and PLP 1, and a receiver that ignores T2-MI or picks the wrong PLP will show nothing despite a full lock.

How will I know when a Director feed really ends?

The listing row will disappear or change its parameters, and the change will appear in KingOfSat or LyngSat updates. This daily slot reports exactly that — a black screen alone is not evidence.
