⚡ Quick Answer

26 newly verified service entries in the window ending 9:30 AM PKT, Saturday October 17, 2026: a brand-new IndiaSign FTA bouquet (16 named Indian channels plus 7 test placeholders, all Clear) on KingOfSat's latest-changes batch, two new encrypted SkyLink test services (TEST2, Test3), and 14 transponder/mux re-scans across the 28.2°E, 23.5°E and 52°E networks. Friday's headline items (42°E departures, RTVi Middle-East going FTA) were already reported in this morning's BISS update — they are not repeated as new here.

KingOfSat news.php (all satellites)17 Oct, ~09:30 PKTNewest section is Friday 16 October (last entry 23:49 CET) — every one of those records (42°E departures, RTVi Middle-East FTA, 28.2°E leaves) was already reported in this morning's 8 AM BISS update.
KingOfSat new.php (latest-changes batch)17 Oct, ~09:30 PKT116 records, newest updates 2026-10-16 23:43 CET — this is where today's 26 new entries come from. Nothing here is a re-report from the BISS slot.

Verdict: 26 newly verified service entries for this slot — an IndiaSign FTA bouquet, two encrypted SkyLink test services, and 14 mux-level re-scans. A steady day rather than a dramatic one: no major transponder launches or closures in the batch.

📡 New IndiaSign FTA Bouquet: 16 Channels, All Clear

The headline of this window: a new "IndiaSign" bouquet has appeared on KingOfSat's latest-changes batch (dated 2026-10-17), carrying 16 named Indian channels plus 7 test placeholders — all Clear (FTA). The lineup is dominated by news, devotional and entertainment channels (CVR News English, Mahaa News, Mahaa Max, Mahaa Bhakti, Nireekshana TV, Hornbill TV, Mathimugam Tholaikatchi and others), and the service IDs (1–21) suggest a purpose-built platform rather than a random mux.

Important caveat: the tracker batch showed the channel names, SIDs, PIDs and encryption status — not the satellite position or frequency in the view we captured. We are not guessing a satellite or transponder; a blind scan will reveal it. The entry is reported as-is, honestly.

Source: KingOfSat new.php, update block dated 2026-10-17 (service rows dated 2026-10-14). Channel names shown as the tracker lists them. The seven "TEST" entries carry no names yet — they usually resolve into real channels within days.

Two fresh encrypted test services appeared in the batch — one in the October-16 records and one in the October-17 block:

  • TEST2 (SID 15610, batch dated 2026-10-16) — listed under the SkyLink package with Conax, Irdeto 2, Nagravision 3 and Viaccess 5.0 encryption, in the NID 2 network block (the 28.2°E network).
  • Test3 (SID 15608, batch dated 2026-10-17) — same four encryptions, in the M7 Group NID 3 block (the 23.5°E network). Its service row is dated 2026-10-14, but it surfaced as new in the October-17 update block.

Quadruple-encrypted test entries like these are typically capacity tests ahead of platform changes — nothing viewable without the operator's subscription, but they are worth logging so future name resolutions (like yesterday's SID 2117–2119) can be tracked. We will flag it here if TEST2/Test3 resolve into named channels.

🔄 Mux Re-Scans on 28.2°E, 23.5°E and 52°E

The rest of the October-16/17 batch is made up of 14 transport-stream re-scans — KingOfSat's blind-scan system re-detecting entire multiplexes (listed as "Transport Stream — SIS/CCM" with network and TS IDs). These carry no named TV channels; they confirm the muxes are still on air with unchanged identifiers:

🎯 Tuning Tips: Blind Scan Done Right

  1. Run a blind scan weekly, not just when channels disappear. A weekly scan catches new bouquets (like IndiaSign) and test services the day they surface.
  2. Confirm your LNB settings first: Universal LNBs use 9750 / 10600 MHz with 22 kHz auto-switching. Wrong LO values are the #1 reason a correct frequency "doesn't work".
  3. Enter every parameter, not just frequency: frequency + polarization + symbol rate + FEC + DVB standard (S2 vs S). Partial entries fail silently on DVB-S2 muxes.
  4. Test placeholders are real signals. Entries like INDIASIGN TEST 10 or Service-906 mean a live carrier — scan them in; when names resolve, your channel list updates automatically.
  5. Note the SIDs. When a "left" channel vanishes, its SID moving to a new transponder (as MY5, Sport UZ and Futbol TV did on 52°E) is how trackers link the move — and how you find it again.
  6. C-band needs the right hardware. Picks like Tafouk TV (3°E, 3729 L) need a C-band LNB and a larger dish — a Ku-only setup will never lock them.

❓ 7 Frequency-Update FAQs

1. What are the IndiaSign test channels?

Placeholder slots (INDIASIGN TEST 2/4/10/11/12/13/14) on a new Clear bouquet. The operator has reserved 21 service IDs but has named only 16 channels so far — the tests will almost certainly resolve into real channel names within days. Rescan the bouquet's transponder to pick them up as they appear.

2. Can I watch the IndiaSign FTA channels right now?

The tracker's batch confirmed they are Clear (unencrypted), but we are not publishing a satellite or frequency we could not verify — do not tune by guesswork. Run a blind scan; when the platform's position is confirmed by a second source, we will publish the full transponder parameters here.

3. What is SID and PID, and why should I care?

SID (Service ID) is the channel's unique number inside a multiplex; VPID/APID point to its video and audio streams. Trackers use SIDs to link a channel across transponder moves — e.g., MY5 kept SID 52614 when it moved to 10929.50 H on 52°E — so noting SIDs helps you find channels after frequency changes.

4. Why do test services like TEST2 matter if they're encrypted?

They are early signals of platform work: new capacity, encryption changes or an upcoming launch. Sky's unnamed SIDs on 28.2°E have repeatedly resolved into named channels days later — logging them now means the launch can be tracked rather than missed.

5. What is the difference between KingOfSat's news.php and new.php?

news.php is the dated editorial feed (what happened, day by day). new.php is the raw blind-scan batch (what the scanners just detected). This update draws on both: news.php for Friday's events (reported this morning) and new.php for today's 26 service entries.

6. How often should I rescan my receiver?

Weekly for a casual viewer; after every dated update in this series if you follow specific satellites. Channels move transponders regularly (the 52°E Uzbek bouquet moved within one week), and old entries go dead without warning.

7. What does a "mux re-scan" mean?

KingOfSat's blind-scan system re-detected an entire multiplex with unchanged network and transport-stream IDs. It is a confirmation signal — the mux is still on air and healthy — rather than a change. We list them so you know which networks were actively re-verified.
