📡 1BISSKEY DAILY CHECK — POWERVU
Verdict: Quiet day. Zero genuinely new PowerVu records appeared in the monitoring window (16 Oct 14:00 PKT → 17 Oct 14:00 PKT). Every tracked PowerVu bouquet was re-confirmed active — nothing left, nothing moved, nothing new turned up on LyngSat, SatBeams or KingOfSat.
Today's verdict: quiet day, every bouquet holds
Some days in satellite monitoring are about movement — new bouquets, deletions, encryption changes. Today is about stability. In the 24-hour window ending 14:00 PKT on 17 October 2026, none of the monitored sources reported a single new PowerVu service, bouquet, deletion or encryption change.
That is not a lack of news. For anyone tracking distribution feeds — cable headends, affiliates, uplink engineers — a full re-confirmation that nine PowerVu bouquets remain exactly where they were is actionable information. All LyngSat position pages relevant to PowerVu now show a "last updated 2026-10-16" stamp, which means the databases refreshed and still show the same entries. SatBeams published its 16-Oct-26 and 17-Oct-26 transponder news pages in the window; neither contains a PowerVu row. And KingOfSat worked again today after yesterday's transport failures — both news.php and new.php loaded fine, and neither shows a PowerVu entry dated 16 or 17 October.
The strongest continuing storyline is the SES 18 (103.0°W) 3930V Gulfcom bouquet — the 10-service US/Canadian station-distribution bouquet first flagged on 14 October. It persists unchanged on LyngSat with block stamp 261013 (13 Oct), three days after detection. Neither KingOfSat nor SatBeams has picked it up yet, so it remains a LyngSat/SatBeams-only listing — worth watching, not yet a second-source confirmation.
Verified PowerVu bouquet status — October 17, 2026
The table below reflects the cited monitoring pages read on 17 October 2026. "Confirmed" means the block appears on the cited page at its shown update date; it is not a reception guarantee at your location. Block stamps are shown in YYMMDD form — that is the source's own record date, explained further in the guide section below.

Two watch items to keep on your radar
1. The MTV Networks bouquet is still missing — day 9
The 7-service MTV Networks / Paramount PowerVu bouquet was deleted from SES 21 (131.0°W) 4120V on 9 October 2026. Nine days later, no new home has been sighted: it is absent on SES 21 and was not found on SES 22 either (checked 17 Oct; SES 22 currently carries only Alaska muxes — KSKA-FM and the Alaskan mux). SatBeams shows no 103–139°W PowerVu movement that would explain a relocation. The watch continues in tomorrow's slot.
2. Gulfcom bouquet still waiting for a second source — day 3
The SES 18 3930V Gulfcom bouquet has now persisted for three days with block stamp 261013. KingOfSat — back online today with its full 116-record new.php history and news sections — still has not listed it, and SatBeams has not flagged it either. One-database detections are worth reporting but should not be treated as fully confirmed until a second monitoring source agrees. If KingOfSat picks it up in the coming days, that would be genuinely new news.

How to read monitoring sites honestly
Satellite-monitoring sites are indispensable — but only if you read their date conventions correctly. Here is the quick guide we use on every 1Biss Key check:
- Block stamps (YYMMDD) are LyngSat's own record dates — 261013 means 13 Oct 2026, 260815 means 15 Aug 2026. An unchanged stamp across a page refresh means the database re-scanned and found nothing new; it is a confirmation of status, not a new event.
- Page-update date vs. detection date: a page "last updated 2026-10-16" with a block stamp of 261003 tells you the service record is 13 days old and still current. Treat the stamp as the event date, never the page refresh.
- Re-detection is not an event: when a scan site lists a bouquet again on its daily page, that is the monitor noticing it — not the broadcaster changing something. We only call a record new when it first appears within our window.
- FTA is not PowerVu: on today's LyngSat SES 21 page, the 4140H ION Media bouquet carries "new" flags on 11 services with block stamp 261007 — but those are FTA channels, not PowerVu, and the update is from 7 Oct. Mixing encryption flags is one of the most common mistakes in reader reports.
- One source is a lead, two sources are news: the Gulfcom bouquet has been visible on LyngSat (and SatBeams' scan pass) for three days but on neither KingOfSat nor SatBeams' dated rows. Until a second independent monitor confirms it, report it as "newly listed," not as an established fact.
Authorized reception: what lawful PowerVu viewing looks like
PowerVu is a professional, business-to-business conditional-access system — it distributes programming from programmers to cable headends and affiliates, not to retail subscribers. Lawful reception requires a professional integrated receiver-decoder (IRD) — such as the Synamedia D9800 or D9866 — provisioned and entitled by the network operator. A retail box that locks the carrier can show you signal strength, but signal is not authorization: decrypting PowerVu without the broadcaster's entitlement is unlawful.
This article therefore contains tuning and platform information only — no keys, no key-extraction methods, no bypass instructions. Firmware that advertises "PowerVU support" through key-entry or auto-roll features is not equivalent to Synamedia authorization, and we do not recommend or document circumvention features. There are zero officially published PowerVu keys in today's window, which is the normal state of affairs for a closed professional system.

Frequently asked questions
Is PowerVu discontinued in 2026?
No formal discontinuation has been announced. The satellite footprint is contracting in some markets while Synamedia extends the PowerVu brand into IP and cloud-controlled edge distribution (Quortex PowerVu). Today's check confirms nine bouquets still listed as active across the Americas, Europe-Africa and Asia.
Was there any new PowerVu record on 17 October 2026?
No. In the window 16 Oct 14:00 PKT → 17 Oct 14:00 PKT, LyngSat, SatBeams and KingOfSat reported zero new PowerVu services, bouquets, deletions or encryption changes. All entries in this article are confirmed-unchanged status.
What does a LyngSat block stamp like 261013 mean?
It is LyngSat's own record date in YYMMDD form: 261013 = 13 October 2026. It marks when the database recorded the block, not necessarily when the broadcaster changed anything. An unchanged stamp after a page refresh means "still current."
Where did the MTV Networks PowerVu bouquet go?
It was deleted from SES 21 4120V on 9 October 2026, and as of 17 October no relocation has been sighted on SES 21, SES 22 or any 103–139°W monitoring page. We are watching this daily and will report a relocation the moment it is confirmed.
Can my consumer receiver open PowerVu feeds legally?
A tuner can lock the carrier, but lawful decryption needs a professional IRD provisioned and entitled by the network operator. Firmware key-entry features on retail boxes do not create authorization.
Why is TV5Monde Afrique HD not in the status table?
A mirror-thread report places it on Intelsat 10-02 0.8°W 12643V as PowerVu, but the report is undated, so we cannot attribute it to any window or treat it as a confirmed record. It stays a watch item until a dated source appears.
Is PowerVu the same as BISS?
No. PowerVu is a closed, centrally managed professional CA system for programmer-to-affiliate distribution. BISS is an open contribution-feed scrambling family (BISS-CA adds rolling keys and entitlements). They serve different layers of the broadcast chain.

Conclusion
17 October 2026 goes down as a quiet day for PowerVu — no new records anywhere in the window, and every monitored bouquet exactly where it was. The Gulfcom bouquet on SES 18 enters its fourth day as a LyngSat/SatBeams-only listing, and the MTV Networks bouquet enters its ninth day of absence with no relocation sighted. Both stay on tomorrow's watch list. When the databases do move, you will read about it here first — verified, dated, and honestly sourced.
