PowerVu Status October 28, 2026: 1 New Simulcast, 58 Intact
One quiet PowerVu change breaks the calm — and it is an addition, not a loss. LyngSat's SES-6 page, re-stamped October 26 since this blog's last PowerVu check, now lists the Argentine quartet LN+, Plim Plim, Unife and PX Sports on a second transponder, 4066.00 MHz R, alongside their existing home on 3834L. No channel left, no new service appeared, and nothing else moved: the SES-18 Gulfcom bouquet is intact for a fifteenth day, the NSS-12 Anuvu bouquet holds its full lineup, and Europa Europa's relocation to SES 6 is stable on day 8. KingOfSat's Tuesday section is still empty, its Wednesday rows contain zero PowerVu entries, and SatBeams' October 28 bulletin has not been published yet. Today's guide explains simulcasts — why the same channels appear twice, and what to do about it on your receiver.
PowerVu daily briefing, October 28, 2026: one new simulcast transponder (SES 6, 4066R), the SES-18 Gulfcom bouquet intact on day 15, NSS-12 Anuvu unchanged, and Europa Europa holding on SES 6 on day 8.
PowerVu is the professional broadcast encryption system developed by Scientific Atlanta (now Synamedia) that protects satellite feeds for broadcasters and cable headends. In the 24 hours to October 28, 2026, one new PowerVu transponder appeared: SES 6 (40.5°W), 4066.00 MHz R, tp 71, DVB-S2 8PSK, SR 8333, FEC 5/6 now carries LN+ (SID 111), Plim Plim (112), Unife (113) and PX Sports (115) — all PowerVu, all flagged "new" on LyngSat (row updated 2026-10-26, after this blog's October 27 PowerVu check, so new to this slot). These are the same four services with the same SIDs already carried on SES 6 3834L — so this is a simulcast, not four new channels, and the tracked-bouquet total stays at 58. No PowerVu service departed anywhere. The SES-18 (103°W) Gulfcom bouquet remains fully intact for a fifteenth day with all 10 services in PowerVu; the NSS-12 (57°E) Anuvu bouquet holds the same services with the same SIDs as yesterday's snapshot; and Europa Europa's relocation to SES 6 (40.5°W) 4095.00 MHz R is stable on day 8. All three LyngSat pages now carry October 26 stamps — reviewed, with only the 4066R addition changed. KingOfSat's Tuesday 27 October section is still empty, its Wednesday 28 October rows are PowerVu-free, its additions feed (header now 2026-10-28 08:24 CET, 82 records) and removals feed (header now 2026-10-28 08:28 CET, 49 records) contain zero PowerVu entries, and SatBeams' October 28 bulletin has not been published yet (404 at check time; the index still lists 27-Oct-26 as latest). Four Atlantic feeds remain unverified after LyngSat's listing reorganization. As always, PowerVu stays authorized-only, and no keys are published.

π Today's PowerVu Changes (October 28, 2026)
PowerVu activity recorded in the monitoring window (Oct 27 14:00 → Oct 28 14:00 PKT). One new simulcast transponder; zero departures; everything else unchanged.
π‘ New Simulcast: Argentine Quartet Gains a Second SES 6 Transponder (4066R)
LyngSat's SES-6 page (last updated 2026-10-26, re-stamped since yesterday's check) now lists a second PowerVu transponder for the PEG_Argentina bouquet: 4066.00 MHz R, tp 71, DVB-S2 8PSK, SR 8333, FEC 5/6, carrying LN+ (SID 111, MPEG-4/HD, VPID 1110, audio 1111 Spa), Plim Plim (SID 112, MPEG-4/HD, VPID 1620, audio 1621 Spa), Unife (SID 113, MPEG-4/HD, VPID 1130, audio 1131 Spa) and PX Sports (SID 115, HEVC, VPID 1630, audio 1631 Spa) — each flagged "new" on the page. The key detail: these are the identical services on identical SIDs already listed on 3834.00 MHz L, tp 62, DVB-S2 8PSK, SR 15000, FEC 5/6, which remains live. Two live rows, same channels, same SIDs, different transponders — that is the definition of a simulcast, and it is why today's count is "1 new transponder, 0 new services". Viewers with a dish on SES 6 gain a second, lower-symbol-rate copy of the quartet; nothing needs deleting.
π°️ SES 18 (103°W) — Gulfcom Bouquet: INTACT, Day 15
The Gulfcom bouquet on 3930.00 MHz, V, tp 12, DVB-S2 8PSK, SR 15000, FEC 3/4 still lists all 10 services with encryption PowerVu (LyngSat SES-18 page, last updated 2026-10-26): CBC Toronto (100), WWOR-TV My - Secaucus (101), WSVN-TV Fox - Miami (102), CTV Toronto (103), WPIX-TV CW - New York (104), WGN-TV Chicago (105), Citytv Toronto (106), KTLA-TV CW - Los Angeles (107), WPBT-TV PBS - Miami (109), Bounce (403).
π‘ Fifteen days intact. The page stamp moved from October 25 to October 26 without any row change in this bouquet — the page was reviewed, and nothing needed changing. That is itself confirmation of stability.
π°️ NSS 12 (57°E) — Anuvu Bouquet 4095R: UNCHANGED
The full Anuvu bouquet on 4095.00 MHz, R, tp GLR10 Global, DVB-S2 QPSK, SR 30000, FEC 3/4 is unchanged (LyngSat NSS-12 page, last updated 2026-10-26). The services and SIDs match yesterday's snapshot exactly, so nothing new is counted today. The page also carries the MTN test card (SID 100) on the same transponder, which is not an encrypted service.
Services re-verified today (all π PowerVu): MTN Special Events (101), MS Now International (102), Fox News Channel (103), Bloomberg TV US (104), BBC News (106), Prime Journey (107), Sport 24 (109), Prime One (110), Sport 24 Extra (111), RTL Deutschland (112), Australia Channel (113), TFC Middle East (115), Prime Favorites (116), BBC HD (117), TVE Internacional Europa (118), Canal 24 Horas (119), Australian Comedy & Drama Channel (120), ABC News Australia (121), CNN International South Asia (123), Food Network East (124), HGTV East (125), Travel Channel East (126), BBC Earth Middle East (127), BritBox (128), BBC Lifestyle Asia (129), France 24 FranΓ§ais (131), Mediaset Italia (132), Rai Italia Africa (133), Hunan TV International (140), China Movie (143), CCTV Entertainment (144), CCTV 4 America (145), Metro TV Indonesia (146), National Geographic UK (161), MTN Special Events 2 (200).
π Europa Europa on SES 6 (40.5°W): Relocation Holding, Day 8
Europa Europa remains listed as PowerVu on SES 6 (40.5°W), 4095.00 MHz R, tp 73, DVB-S2 8PSK, SR 30000, FEC 5/6 — SID 5, MPEG-4/HD, VPID 516, audio 690 Spa / 691 Eng / 692 Spa — inside the AMC Networks International Latin America bouquet (LyngSat SES-6 page, last updated 2026-10-26). The relocation is stable on its eighth day. All other AMC bouquet PowerVu rows are unchanged (Film & Arts AmΓ©rica Latina, El Gourmet Norte, AMC MΓ©xico, Film & Arts Brasil, El Gourmet Sur, Film & Arts MΓ©xico, AMC Series ×2, AMC Andina, AMC Latin America, AMC Brasil, plus a test card), and the remaining SES-6 PowerVu rows — 3834L (LN+, Plim Plim, Unife, PX Sports — now simulcast on 4066R, see above), 3979L (Fox Sports Argentina 501–503, Telefe, Telefe Internacional), 4135L (9 Brasil services), 4177L (Ve Plus Panregional), 4191L (Pasiones LatinoamΓ©rica) — are all unchanged.
π Rest of the Window
- KingOfSat news.php — Tuesday 27 October section STILL EMPTY: no rows have appeared under Tuesday even a day later. The Wednesday 28 October section carries rows, but all are Conax/Nagravision (Cinemax 2 Europe, RTRS on Astra 3C), Conax (Big Brother VIP Kosova 1 and 2 on Eutelsat 16D), Clear (FR HD on 8°W, Sudan TV's departure from Badr 8), or Viaccess departures (the Warner Bros. Discovery Russia batch on Eutelsat 21B 10723.50V: Disney Channel Russia, Animal Planet Eastern Europe, Investigation Discovery Russia, TLC Russia, Cartoonito, Eurosport 1 HD Russia, Eurosport 2 North East Europe, Cartoon Network Central Europe) — zero PowerVu.
- KingOfSat new.php (header now "Most recent updates: 2026-10-28 08:24 CET", 82 records): the named rows are Clear (Al Jazeera batch), Conax (Zee Zest, Big Brother VIP Kosova) or Nagravision — no PowerVu.
- KingOfSat removed (header now "Most recent updates: 2026-10-28 08:28 CET", 49 records): the newest removals are the Viaccess Warner Bros. Discovery Russia batch above — no PowerVu removal in window.
- SatBeams October 28 bulletin: NOT YET PUBLISHED. The URL returns 404 and the SatBeams news index still lists 27-Oct-26 as the latest bulletin. Any changes it carries will fall into tomorrow's window. The 27-Oct-26 bulletin itself (17 rows, already covered by this morning's slots) contains zero PowerVu rows.
- MTV Networks / Paramount bouquet relocation: day 20 — still no new home.
- Also listed on SES-18 today (outside the tracked bouquets): CineLatino Estados Unidos (SID 8025) as PowerVu on 4140.00 MHz V — noted as an observation only, not counted in today's tracked total.
- Officially published PowerVu keys: 0 — as expected; this blog never publishes invented keys.
⚠️ Four Atlantic Feeds: Still Unverified
LyngSat's Atlantic listing reorganization continues to block re-verification of four feeds this blog tracks: FOX Sports Andino HD (Intelsat 805, 55.5°W, 4136.00 MHz V), Teletica Canal 7 (Intelsat 11, 43°W, 3829.00 MHz V), Speed Brazil (Intelsat 11, 43°W, 3895.00 MHz V), and Rai Italia (NSS 7, 20°W, 4128.00 MHz R). None is reported gone — a fresh blind scan remains the only definitive check.
Same channels, same SIDs, two transponders. A simulcast is a second copy, not a second channel list — and it usually means a migration is coming, or redundancy is being added.
Simulcast Explained: Why the Same Channels Appear on Two Transponders
Today's 4066R listing is the first PowerVu simulcast this blog has logged in weeks — and it confuses viewers every time, because a rescan suddenly shows every channel twice. Here is what is actually happening, and what to do about it.
A simulcast is a copy, not a new channel
When LN+ appears on both 3834L and 4066R with the same SID (111), the same PIDs and the same encryption, it is one service distributed twice. Your receiver will list it twice after a full scan — that is correct behaviour, not a fault. Counting it as a "new channel" would double-count the bouquet, which is why today's headline says 1 new transponder and 0 new services.
Why operators simulcast: migration, coverage, or redundancy
The three usual reasons: (a) migration — the operator is moving the bouquet to a new transponder and runs both in parallel so receivers can switch over gradually, then switches the old one off; (b) coverage — the new transponder's beam or symbol rate serves receivers the old one does not reach well (note 4066R's lower SR of 8333 versus 3834L's 15000); (c) redundancy — a backup feed in case the primary transponder fails. Only time tells which one applies: if 3834L disappears in a later bulletin, it was a migration.
How to tell a simulcast from a move
A move leaves the old row dead: the old transponder's listing is deleted in the same bulletin that adds the new one. A simulcast leaves both rows live, as here — 3834L is still listed, unchanged, beside the new 4066R row. If a tracker shows both rows, do not delete anything yet. If only the new row exists, it was a move and the old entry is stale.
What to do on your receiver
Keep both entries for now and watch which one your receiver actually locks. If one beam is stronger at your location, favourite that copy and ignore the other — but do not delete the "duplicate" permanently until one of the rows disappears from the trackers. Deleting the wrong copy during a migration is exactly how viewers lose a channel that is still broadcasting.
The watch item for the coming days
This blog will watch 3834L specifically. If a coming bulletin drops the 3834L quartet, the story becomes a completed migration to 4066R and the tuning advice flips: rescan 4066R and delete the 3834L entries. Until then, the honest status is "simulcast in progress".
π‘ The rule to remember: duplicates after a rescan are information, not clutter. Two live rows with identical SIDs mean the operator is doing something deliberate — wait for the second bulletin before deciding which copy is the keeper.
A healthy PowerVu bouquet: every dish holds its signal, every beam stays encrypted — stability is the design goal of professional distribution.
What Is PowerVu Encryption?
PowerVu is a conditional access system (CAS) for digital television developed by Scientific Atlanta (the technology is now part of Synamedia). Unlike BISS, which is a simple shared-key system used for temporary feeds, PowerVu was built for permanent professional broadcasting: network distribution feeds, cable headend delivery, and broadcaster backhaul.
- Designed for professionals: PowerVu secures the feeds broadcasters send to cable headends, hotel TV systems, and affiliate stations — not the set-top box in your living room.
- Per-receiver authorization: every authorized decoder is registered with the broadcaster's system and receives entitlement messages addressed to it specifically.
- Rolling keys: the actual descrambling keys (control words) change constantly — in newer deployments roughly every second — so there is no static "PowerVu key" you can write down the way you can with BISS.
- Closed ecosystem: PowerVu authorization is managed by the broadcaster or the bouquet operator; there is no public key exchange and no "official key releases" the way BISS session keys sometimes leak into the open.
π Bottom line: if a channel you care about is listed as PowerVu, your options are legitimate authorization for that bouquet — or a different source for the same content. There is no reliable third path.
How PowerVu Works (Simple Explanation)
Think of PowerVu as a locked mailbox system. The broadcaster puts each receiver's personal key inside a sealed envelope that only that receiver can open:
Entitlement messages (EMM): the sealed envelope
The broadcaster transmits Entitlement Management Messages addressed to specific authorized decoders. Each EMM carries that decoder's personal decryption credentials, encrypted so only that decoder can read it.
Control messages (ECM): the key of the moment
Alongside the video, the stream carries Entitlement Control Messages that tell authorized decoders the current control word — the actual key that unscrambles the picture right now.
Constant rotation: the lock keeps changing
Control words rotate automatically and rapidly. The receiver must keep processing ECMs in real time to follow the rotation — which is why "entering a PowerVu key manually" the way you do with BISS does not work.
Authorization check: are you on the list?
Before the receiver can use the EMMs, the broadcaster's system must have it registered as authorized for that bouquet. No registration = the envelopes arrive but nothing can open them = black screen with full signal.
PowerVu vs BISS: The Key Differences
| Aspect | PowerVu | BISS |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Permanent professional distribution (headends, affiliates) | Temporary feeds (live events, backhaul) |
| Key model | Per-receiver authorization + rotating control words | One shared 16-digit session key |
| Key lifetime | Rotates constantly (seconds in newer deployments) | Static for the duration of the feed |
| Management | Centralized by broadcaster/bouquet operator | Distributed to feed partners ad hoc |
| Typical encryption flag | "PowerVu" | "BISS" |
| Can you type the key in? | No — needs live EMM/ECM authorization | Yes — 16 hex digits in the receiver menu |
π‘ Why it matters: the "BISS key" hunting culture around temporary sports feeds does not transfer to PowerVu. Treating a PowerVu feed like a BISS feed — searching forums for a magic number to type in — wastes time. PowerVu access is a subscription/authorization question, not a key-finding question.
Which Receivers Support PowerVu in 2026
PowerVu support is a specific hardware/firmware feature — not every "FTA" box has it. Look for these when choosing equipment:
- PowerVu-capable DVB-S2 receivers: many mid-range and professional DVB-S2 HD boxes from brands like Starsat, Tiger, Geant, and Echobox list PowerVu support in their firmware. Check the firmware changelog for "PowerVu" before buying — the feature is often added in a later firmware release, not present at launch.
- Professional IRDs: broadcast-grade integrated receiver/decoders (the boxes at cable headends) support PowerVu natively, since that is the market the system was built for.
- Software/PC solutions: DVB-S2 tuner cards and USB tuners paired with software that handles the EMM/ECM stream can process PowerVu for authorized bouquets. This is a tinkerer's path, not a plug-and-play one.
- Auto-roll firmware scene: hobbyist forums discuss "autoroll" softcams that attempt to recover PowerVu keys automatically. Reliability has collapsed on newer nano deployments — control-word rotation every second and the nano 01 hash leave even working autorolls with nothing to roll.
⚠️ Buyer beware: no receiver — consumer or professional — can watch a PowerVu bouquet it is not authorized for. "PowerVu support" in a spec sheet means the box can process the system when authorized, not that it unlocks everything.
PowerVu Nano 01: Why Newer Feeds Are Harder
In 2026 the hobbyist scene has a new keyword: nano 01. It refers to a newer PowerVu EMM hash method discussed on forums such as LinuxSat Support, first noticed on MTN/Anuvu maritime feeds:
- What changed: the way entitlement messages hash their key material was hardened. Older PowerVu key-recovery approaches targeted the classic hash; nano 01 deployments resist those approaches.
- What it means for viewers: even the partial methods that used to recover keys for some PowerVu feeds now return nothing usable on nano 01 feeds — the picture stays black.
- The direction of travel: newer PowerVu deployments are engineered so that partial solutions (a decrypted EMM but no working nano hash) buy nothing but a black screen. The practical lesson: budget for legitimate, authorized reception, because the gap older methods exploited is closing.
❓ PowerVu FAQ
What changed in PowerVu today?
One new simulcast transponder: SES 6 (40.5°W), 4066.00 MHz R now carries LN+, Plim Plim, Unife and PX Sports in PowerVu — the same four services already on 3834L. Nothing departed, no new service appeared, and the tracked bouquets are unchanged — Gulfcom intact on day 15, Anuvu unchanged, Europa Europa stable on SES 6 on day 8.
Is the 4066R listing four new channels?
No. The four services carry the same SIDs (111, 112, 113, 115) and the same PIDs as on 3834L, and 3834L is still listed. That is a simulcast — one bouquet carried twice — not four additions. If 3834L disappears in a later bulletin, it will have been a migration; until then, keep both entries.
Why is my receiver now showing LN+ twice?
Because a full scan found both live copies — 3834L and 4066R. That is correct behaviour. Favourite the copy with the stronger signal at your location and ignore the other, but do not delete either permanently until one row disappears from the trackers.
How long has the SES-18 Gulfcom bouquet been intact?
Fifteen days. All 10 services (CBC Toronto, WWOR-TV, WSVN-TV, CTV Toronto, WPIX-TV, WGN-TV, Citytv Toronto, KTLA-TV, WPBT-TV, and Bounce) have listed PowerVu on 3930.00 MHz V with no additions, departures, or parameter changes.
KingOfSat's Tuesday section is still empty — does that mean no news?
It means no KingOfSat news rows for Tuesday 27 October even a day later — the section header exists but carries no entries. An empty section is not a "no changes anywhere" verdict; that is why this blog also checks LyngSat and SatBeams, and why today's one change comes from LyngSat, not KingOfSat.
Where is Europa Europa now?
On SES 6 (40.5°W), 4095.00 MHz R, SR 30000, FEC 5/6 — SID 5, MPEG-4/HD, audio 690 Spa / 691 Eng / 692 Spa — stable there for eight days. The old NSS-806 parameters (3762.00 MHz R) match no current listing; update your transponder list if you still have the old entry.
Can I find PowerVu keys online?
No. Authorization is per-receiver: the broadcaster's system addresses entitlement messages to registered decoders, and control words rotate constantly (roughly every second in newer deployments). A "PowerVu key list" would be obsolete within seconds of posting — which is why this blog never publishes invented keys.
How can I check today's PowerVu status myself?
The trackers this blog uses daily: KingOfSat's most recent updates page (en.kingofsat.net), LyngSat's per-satellite pages, and SatBeams' transponder news. Always cross-check with a fresh blind scan on your own receiver.
⚖️ Lawful reception only: this guide is for education and for viewers with legitimate, authorized reception (your own subscription or broadcaster-authorized equipment). Do not use this information to bypass pay-TV or broadcaster access controls — that is illegal in most countries.
